SPECIES CHARACTERISTICS:
Evergreen, broadleaf tree. Moderate growth rate, 20 - 40' in height, 20 - 25' spread. Round to oval in shape.
FOLIAGE:
Simple leaf, pinnate venation, alternate arrangement, linear, falcate leaf. Entire margins, narrow, 3 - 6" long in size. Light olive in color.
FLOWER:
Small cream colored flowers in terminal clusten.
Spring - Fall.
STEM / TRUNK:
Single trunk, low branching.
BARK:
Smooth light gray when young buoming roughened, reddish brown with age.
EXPOSURE:
Full Sun, Hardiness: Sunset zones: 8, 9, 13 - 24.
SOIL:
Well drained.
WATER:
Supplemental water, responds to ample water with faster growth.
PRUNING:
To shape.
USES:
Background, barrier , fences/walls, foundation planting, right of way, screen and shade.
COMMENTS:
Tolerates a wide range of moisture levels and soils. Low maintenance once established.
