SPECIES CHARACTERISTICS:
Evergreen, broadleaf tree. Moderate growth rate, 15 - 20' in height, 20 - 30' spread. Round, umbrella shape.
FOLIAGE:
Simple leaf, pinnate venation, alternate arrangement. Oval to oblong leaf shape. Entire margins, coriaceous texture; rusty and pubescent undemeath. Tips acute, cordated base. 5" in size, deep green above rusty red beneath.
FRUIT:
Syconium. Yellow-green 1/2 " round fruit.
STEM / TRUNK:
Low branching.
BARK:
Thin, smooth, gray.
EXPOSURE:
Full sun, and wind.

Any.

Supplemental water.
PROPAGATION:
Cutting.
USES:
Accent, background, foliage, right of way, and shade.

Tolerates a wide range or moisture levels and soils. Low maintenance once established.
