ACCESS RAMPS
(also known as disabled ramps, ADA ramps, curb ramps, and curb cuts)
Special Projects is currently working to achieve its yearly construction quota of access ramps. It is the intention of the City of Los Angeles in conjunction with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) that every intersection in Los Angeles be outfitted with access ramps. One day, there will be ramps for the disabled at every corner where it is safe and legal for pedestrians to enter the roadway. Until then we thank you for your patience with us while the corners of your sidewalk are under construction.
If you are disabled and require access ramps in your neighborhood, please call our Service Request line or submit an online request form. Be as specific as possible about the locations where you would like ramps and our crews will construct them as soon as we possibly can.
To request repair or to have a site inspected, please contact our Service Request line at 3-1-1 or 1 (800) 996-CITY or fill out an online request form. |
