The
Bikeway Section prepares plans, specifications, and manages construction
of bikeway projects in the City of Los Angeles. Bikeway projects
recently constructed include the Los Angeles River Bikepath Phase
1-A and Phase 1-D, and the Culver Blvd. Median Bikeway. Upcoming
projects include Los Angeles River Bikepath Phase 1-B and San Fernando
Bikepath Phase I. |

Project
Description: This project is the second segment
of a planned Bikeway Corridor connecting the San Fernando
Valley with Central Los Angeles. This 1.3 mile segment
is a part of the Los Angeles River Bikeway Phase 1,
and will be constructed on the west bank of the Los
Angeles River between Los Feliz Boulevard and Fletcher
Drive. Construction of this project will encourage the
use of bicycles for recreation adn transportation by
developing and improving the bikeway system. |
